Dr. Prentiss has extensive teaching and advising experience at
Rhode Island College, the University of Rhode Island, and the Center
for Talented Youth of the Johns Hopkins University (CTY), among
other venues. With CTY he taught an intensive, comprehensive course
in Logic and Philosophy to gifted adolescents over a period of twelve
years. As a college professor he has taught, among other things,
courses in Medical Ethics, Engineering Ethics, Social Philosophy,
and Free Will.
Dr. Prentiss believes passionately in the possibility of the human
spirit when common decency and fairness are augmented by an intellect
that is trained to solve problems in a way that combines discipline
and imagination. He has now turned his attention to offering this
training, as well as direct counseling in problem-solving, to individuals,
communities, and organizations. His unusual combination of abilities
and experience, along with his vision of a humanistic company dedicated
to individual empowerment through the enhancement of our natural
mental gifts, have prepared him superbly well for the projects that
he has undertaken by founding Good Thinking Works ™.
