Course Description
Ethics, Health Care, and Social
Services: Principles and Applications is derived
from the six hour workshop, Ethical Problems in Health Care,
Social Services, and Public Policy. Bearing in mind the
mission of the helping professions as it involves working
for positive social change, the main goal of the course is
to bring about a better understanding of the ethical
problems that affect the provision of these essential
services and that affect efforts to make social service
policy and practice more effective and equitable. Learning
objectives include the ability to identify and apply
principles of health care and social services ethics.
