Course Description
Cultural Diversity and the Helping
Professions is a three-hour derivation of the
all-day Diversity and Cultural Relations training workshop.
Its primary purpose is to bring out the ways in which an
understanding and appreciation of social and cultural
diversity can help members of helping professions to
effectively address some of the most difficult problems that
they confront and to better serve their clients. A key
feature of the course is a discussion of features common to
socially and culturally diverse communities.
Learning objectives include the
ability to identify ways in which an enhanced understanding
of cultural diversity can help to better serve people in
need.
